The world of ryyah was once a peaceful place for all the elves until the sudden end of life of their only king. This came as a surprise to one the immortal elders who did not anticipate the demise of their king and worst still did not have any mechanism in place for choosing their new leader. Due to the selfish nature of the elders, a war erupted among them as each of the four faction of elders tried to rule the world of Ryyah.
The means between the four factions lasted for a lot years except for ended with the shattering of the source stone. The aftereffect was the world surface was shaken but the shattering of the stone thus a deep opening on the surface divided the world into two: the east and the west. Without the stone, the world was purged into total darkness except that this did not assist the elder advance to together and express for solutions. Instead they separated make smooth more to form their own four kingdoms.
The darkness in the Ryyah world lasted for 100,000 and as an aftereffect anyone the elves lost their immortality. The twilight period followed after this period except the transition was behind as it took the world 10,000 additional years to have the light back. At this time the west chasm was established by the sword elf kingdom that ruled over it for 2000 years. The sword elves also rediscovered the fire elves except the sword elf kingdom was attacked and destroyed by the shadow elves. At the war, the fire elves were forced to alliance with shadow elves thus forming the method of the Temples Flame. The sword elf kingdom survivors had to escape to the other side of the great chasm and settled at southeast of the east chasm. This earned them the name Southern High Elves. A war erupted Between Fire, Ice, Shadow and high Elves kingdoms and boundaries had to be formed. This war was fought at the last 1000 years of the twilight.
